When, while the lovely valley teems with vapour around me, and the meridian sun strikes the upper surface of the impenetrable foliage of my trees.

Last day of Portland Open Studios. The Clift House studio is open until 4 pm. It may not be great weather today but it’s warm and dry here. Come on by! #PortlandOpenStudios

Come on by today and I’ll show you what’s happening in my studio. There will be plenty of finished works available for purchase as well. Unfortunately the Backyard Sculpture and Pottery Exhibit will not be happening due to the trail conditions and the forecasted rain tonight and tomorrow. PortlandOpenStudios

Visit Andy Clift’s clay studio during Portland Open Studios on
October 11–12 and October 18–19, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
It has been over ten years since I last participated in this event, and I couldn’t be more excited to open my studio doors again. Over the past decade, I’ve devoted most of my energy to raising my two sons and, more recently, to teaching art. During that time, I’ve also been quietly building my home studio and shaping the foundation of Clift House—preparing for a full-time return to making and sharing my art.
This Open Studio marks a very special milestone—my official return as a full-time creative artist. I invite you to come by, see my process, ask questions, and explore a wide range of finished works available for purchase.
I had hoped to host much of the event outdoors with a pottery and sculpture exhibition in the forested backyard. However, due to this weekend’s weather, the exhibit portion will move indoors. Fingers crossed for clearer skies next weekend so we can enjoy the outdoor setup as planned!
I look forward to seeing you, sharing stories, and celebrating this next chapter together.
Warmly,
Andy Clift
